Important New Development
Launching a new stock breakdown and business newsletter
This is an announcement for a new newsletter call Five Minute Money. While it will not officially be affiliated with Speedwell Research, it will still be written by Drew Cohen.
Hello all!
We are launching a new newsletter that will focus on 1) investing, 2) business analysis, and 3) personal finance.
There is a lot of shorter stock and business thoughts I’ve had, but I have been reluctant to share them through Speedwell.
That is because I consider Speedwell Research a brand and service for high-end, professional investors and I didn’t want to bombard you with all of my shorter takes that may not be as well researched as most of what we publish.
I also wanted to broaden our audience, so we may at times explain things a sophisticated investor knows, but most people don’t… sort of like how the Wall Street Journal explains literally every time it mentions bond yields that “prices and yields are inversely correlated”.
There’s also a lot of content to read, so I wanted to commit to making this newsletter extremely short, but still insightful. That is why we are calling it Five Minute Money (that and ChatGPT said that name demonstrated a clear value prop that will spawn more sign-ups).
Our first post is a stock breakdown on Duolingo and will release Friday.
The next posts I’m working on include the economics behind Tesla’s $300 car leases, and analyzing CoreWeaves business model.
You can expect to receive a mix of stock breakdowns, investing commentary, interesting business analysis, and some helpful (not cringe) personal finance content.
Everything is short and to the point.
There will be a new edition each Friday morning…
AND it will always be free with nothing paywalled.
Sign-up below!
We didn’t want to automatically opt you in, so YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE IT UNLESS YOU SIGN UP!
Our first email on Duolingo is a very good high-level overview of the business, key issues they face, and what needs to happen for the stock to work.
